New Jersey Turnpike – From The South
Follow the New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 13A (Newark Airport). After the toll both, follow signs to Route 1 North. Pass Newark Airport on your right. Follow signs to Newark and Route 21. Route 21 becomes McCarter Highway. Go approximately 2 miles until you come to Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn left onto Raymond Plaza West, in front of Pennsylvania Railroad Station. One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your left.
New Jersey Turnpike – From The North
Follow the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 15W. Pass through the Toll Booth and you will be on Rte 280 West. Drive approximately 2 miles on 280 West to Exit 15 marked “Rte. 21/Newark.” At this Exit, Follow Rte. 21 South signs. (The ramp is a cloverleaf curve). At the end of ramp, turn right onto Rte. 21. Turn left at Raymond Boulevard (Hilton Gateway Hotel is on the corner). Stay to your right and make a right into the Hilton Gateway entrance (it is a small cobblestone driveway just at the end of the Hilton before the light at the intersection and before Penn Station). One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your right.
Garden State Parkway – From the South
Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 140, onto Rte. 22 East. Stay left until Exit marked “Newark/Rte. 21 North.” Take Rte. 21/McCarter Highway approximately 1-1/2 miles to Market Street. Turn right on Market Street. Turn left on Raymond Plaza West. One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your left.
Garden State Parkway – From the North
Follow Garden State Parkway South to Exit 145, bearing onto Rte. 280 East. Bear right where 280 forks and follow signs for “Performing Arts Center” to Exit 15. Exit and turn right at traffic light onto Route 21/McCarter Highway. Turn left at Raymond Boulevard (Hilton Gateway Hotel is on the corner). Stay to your right and make a right into the Hilton Gateway entrance (it is a small cobblestone driveway just at the end of the Hilton before the light at the intersection and before Penn Station). One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your right.
From Liberty International (Newark) Airport
From Airport exit, follow signs to Route 1–9 North. After entering the highway, bear left and follow signs to Newark and Route 21. Route 21 becomes McCarter Highway. Go approximately 2 miles until you come to Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn left onto Raymond Plaza West, in front of Pennsylvania Railroad Station. One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your left.
Route 24 – From Morristown Area
Follow Rte. 24 East, which becomes Rte. 78 East. Follow Rte. 78 East to Exit 58A which is marked “Newark”. Follow this Exit onto Rte. 1 South for approximately 1 mile to Exit marked “Rte. 21 North.” Follow Rte. 21/McCarter Hwy. to Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street. Turn left onto Raymond Plaza West. One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your left.
Route 17 – From Bergen County
Follow Rte. 17 South, to Rte. 3 West, to Rte 21 South. Follow Rte 21/McCarter Hwy. approximately 6 miles to Market Street, turn left at the next intersection, Edison Place, turn the next left onto Alling Street. Cross Market Street and Alling Street becomes Raymond Plaza West. One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel are on your left.
Route 280 East – From Suburban Essex and Morris County Areas
Take Rte. 80 East to Rte. 280 East. Bear right where 280 forks and follow signs for “Performing Arts Center” to Exit 15. Exit and turn right at traffic light onto Route 21/McCarter Highway. Holland Tunnel – From New York City
After exiting Holland Tunnel, take Route 1–9 South. Where the 1–9 South truck route splits off to the right, stay to the left on Route 1–9 and do not take the truck route. Take the Exit for Raymond Boulevard. After taking the exit, continue going straight past the first stop sign. At the second stop sign, merge right onto Raymond Boulevard. Raymond Blvd is a four lane road going in one direction. Stay in the left lanes. Just before Raymond Boulevard turns into a two-lane road with oncoming traffic, there are two left-hand turn lanes, one after the other. Get in the second left-hand turn lane at the light where the Burger King is on your left. The left is not a hard left, but an angle left onto Market Street. Follow Market Street to Pennsylvania Station, which will be on your right. After going under the Pennsylvania Station overpass, make the first right onto Raymond Plaza West. After turning right, Pennsylvania Station will be on your right and One Gateway Center, a parking garage, and the Hilton Gateway Hotel will be on your left.
Lincoln Tunnel – From New York City

George Washington Bridge – From New York City

Go to NYC Pennsylvania Station, 7th Ave. and 33rd St. Take a New Jersey Transit train two stops to Newark Pennsylvania Station (the trains usually stop first at Secaucus Junction). Take a New Jersey Transit train from either the Raritan Valley Line, the Northeast Corridor Line, or the North Jersey Coast Line. Take the train to Newark Pennsylvania Station. PATH train stations are located on Sixth Avenue at 33rd Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street and 9th Street. Take the PATH train to Journal Square.
